New in 2017! Newbury Kayak and Canoe / Rock Paddle Surf collaboration!!!
Newbury Kayak and Canoe is pleased to announce we will be joining forces with Rock Paddle Surf Kayak Coaching of Beverly, MA, for our lesson and coaching program. This collaboration reflects an effort on the part of both organizations to offer comprehensive professional expert sea kayak coaching on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Starting with the 2017 paddling season, we will be providing lessons for all experience levels, specialized courses, and private coaching. We will also be offering sea kayak tours.
Why seek professional sea kayak instruction? We all learn from friends, family, and peers. They know a lot and are more than happy to pass along what they know. Professional instruction can take you even further, empowering you to more quickly reach your paddling goals by helping you develop safe and efficient techniques while avoiding the development of bad habits.
Lessons with a professional coach are not only the best way to learn kayaking skills, but they are also the only way to ensure you are learning correctly and completely. They provide:
- Comprehensive teaching of skills appropriate to your level
- Knowledge of the most current thinking around kayaking techniques
- A focus on long-term paddler development
- Full knowledge of safety and rescue procedures
- Expert and personalized analysis of your strengths and weaknesses
- A clear path to reach your paddling goals
Whether you come to us for a single lesson or long-term coaching, our aim is to provide skills and knowledge that will improve your lifetime paddling experience.
